Habitat

Found in northern habitats from open weedy fields to coniferous forests. Will also visit backyard feeders, particularly in the winter. Nearly always found in flocks.

Range

Year-round residents across northern Canada. Winters to the south across the lower Canadian provinces and most of the northern U.S.Breeds in the high Arctic.
