Habitat

In the north they prefer coniferous and mixed forests and, in the south, the unique “Wayne’s” subspecies  can be found in coastal cypress swamps.

Range

In summer, found across central and eastern Canada, northeastern U.S. and Appalachia. Can be found in Mexico and southern Florida in the winter.
